Digital Entertainment Business is a Major of the Master in Management of Creative and Cultural Industries. This full-time programme is accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education as a “Master Universitario di I livello” and provides students with at least 65 ECTS. The Master will start in the Netherlands, at the Amsterdam Hub of Luiss Business School, and will end in Italy, at Villa Blanc Campus in Rome.

This multi-hub programme will take you to two different countries in one year: the first semester will start in Amsterdam and the second semester will be in Rome, offering you a unique blend of cultural heritage, technological innovation, and a flourishing digital landscape. You will contribute to shape the future of entertainment by developing innovative digital experiences that captivate global audiences, while using the strategic expertise to drive the success of entertainment businesses in a competitive international market that you will develop during the programme.

The Major in Digital Entertainment Business offers two “experiential” activities, which ensure the improvement of analytical thinking combined with a practical attitude. The two experiences are:

  • Developing a media entertainment format: Students will develop and pitch a new format to a media entertainment company.
  • Designing a market release strategy for music: Students will design a market release strategy for a new song (or album) of a partner music label.

Soft skills are considered fundamental according to the World Economic Forum (WEF). Business leaders must possess a combination of technical skills and soft skills to successfully manage the complex challenges of the working environment. Therefore, the Soft Skills Lab is aimed at personal growth, allowing students to develop cross-cutting skills through practical activities structured to enable effective customization of the educational path with the support and guidance of our staff.

The Career Service Office is also responsible for the Employability Lab which develops students’ self-awareness on a key set of soft skills, and to build a personal action plan which maximises self-efficacy in a working environment.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT AND NETWORKING WITH COMPANIES

The Career Service Office sits on the corporate advisory boards of all Luiss Business School one-year Master’s Degree Programmes, acting as an internal business intelligence office and providing feedback on employer needs in terms of competencies and skills. The programme’s boards and coordinators can integrate these requirements into programmes, tracks and laboratories.

  • Competency-based interview simulation – An important step in students’ preparation for placement is the simulated interview.

At the same time, the Career Service Office proactively seeks additional opportunities that fit the profiles and expectations of the students.
  • JobTeaser – The online platform, used by top universities and business schools around the world, allows the Career Service staff to have a clear overview of each class profile, analyse students’ evolution and trends, and post vacancies from employers.
  • Feedback sessions – During feedback sessions, the Career Service staff concentrates on the competency model and other aspects that can influence the success of a selection process. Key focus is placed on soft skills.
  • Internship – The curricular internship generally takes place at the end of Major in Fashion and Luxury Business and is an opportunity for students to combine theory and hands-on experience while in direct contact with professionals working in both national and international industries.

The International Experience includes international oriented activities and experiences that allow students to see through the lens of an international perspective and mind-set. International opportunities contribute both to the personal and professional growth of students, stimulating linguistic and social skills, the sharing of ideas, best practices and skills, and to the development of an international business-oriented network.

The Master in Management of Creative and Cultural Industries – Major in Digital Entertainment Business is a first-level Degree Programme.

It is accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education as a “Master Universitario di Primo Livello and provides students with 65 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System).

The Master’s Diploma and ECTS will be awarded to participants who have passed all mandatory exams and assessment tests.

TUITION FEE

The tuition fee for the Major in Digital Entertainment Business is € 18,000*. Payment is made in four instalments. Tuition includes materials and access to all Luiss Business School facilities.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND FEE WAIVERS

Luiss Business School offers different funding opportunities, including scholarships, early-bird savings, reductions and loans. Fee waivers cannot be combined with any other waiver, scholarship or sponsorship support.

LUISS BUSINESS SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS

Luiss Business School offers up to 3 partial scholarships (covering up to 25% of the tuition fee). The scholarships will be granted based on merit. All candidates that are enrolled for the programme will be considered for this award. Candidates will be assessed on:

  • Academic track record (final grade, GPA);
  • Admission test scores;
  • English proficiency;
  • Technical competences (Office, Adobe, etc.);
  • Proven expertise or personal acknowledgement;
  • Certifications;
  • International experience.
FEE WAIVERS
  • Participants who have already attended a Luiss Business School programme or are Luiss Guido Carli graduates are entitled to a 10% fee reduction.
  • Any company (or VAT holder) that enrols one individual is entitled to a 10% fee reduction.
  • Any company (or VAT holder) that enrols multiple individuals in the same programme is entitled to a 20% fee reduction.
  • 15% Early Bird. Participants who enrol by April 30, 2024 will be entitled to a 15% fee reduction.
  • 10% Early Bird. Participants who enrol by June 30, 2024 will be entitled to a 10% fee reduction.
FINANCIAL AID

All candidates can independently:

  • seek funding from their current or future employer;
  • apply for external scholarships.
VISA REQUIREMENTS

To join a Master’s Degree Programme at Luiss Business School Amsterdam, a European passport is required. If you have a non-European passport, you can continue your orientation for a Master’s Degree Programme on the main website of Luiss Business School (Italy)  here.

ADMISSION TEST

To enrol in this Master’s Degree Programme it is necessary to pass the admission test which assesses your skills, motivation and potential. The Admission Test will be held via WebEx.

The Admission Test consists of:

  • English Test: two written tests with open and multiple-choice questions (applicants with valid TOEFL/IELTS scores can be exempted from the English test).
  • Logic Test – Inductive, Numerical, Deductive: one written test with multiple choice questions (applicants with valid GMAT/GRE scores can be exempted from the Logic test).
  • Personal Interviews: two interviews consisting of an English language evaluation and an assessment of the academic path and self-motivation.
EXEMPTION FROM THE ADMISSION TEST

If you have valid TOEFL/IELTS and/or GMAT/GRE scores, you can insert your scores in the application form to be exempted from the English and/or Logic test. You will still be required to take part in personal interviews.

GMAT/GRE for the Logic test: We do not require a minimum score. The GMAT and GRE scores of admitted applicants vary across classes, however it is very unusual for us to accept candidates with a total GMAT score below 515 and a total GRE score below 145.

IELTS/TOEFL for the English Test: We require a minimum score of IELTS 7.0 and TOEFL 100 as evidence of your advanced English level.

2. ADMISSION TEST FEE

The admission fee is payable online simultaneously.

3.  SCHEDULE YOUR ADMISSION TEST

Once your application is processed, you will be contacted by the Recruitment Office for further instructions on how to join the selections, which will take place via WebEx.

4. RESULT

The results of the Admission Test will be shared by email, within one week from the test date.
